CAN-AM LEAGUE BEGINS 14TH SEASON THURSDAY

Durham, N.C. — The 2018 Can-Am League season starts Thursday, May 17 with a pair of games, while a third series begins Friday night. The six league teams will each play a 100-game regular-season schedule, finishing Monday, Sept. 3. – The defending league champion Quebec Capitales will debut their season against the New Jersey Jackals, who are gunning for their 10th consecutive postseason appearance, on Thursday. – The Sussex County Miners and league runner-up Rockland Boulders will tangle in a five-game series that will see games on both sides of the New York-New Jersey border, also starting Thursday. – In an all-Canadian clash, the Trois-Rivières Aigles will make the trek to the national capital to face the Ottawa Champions, starting Friday.
