T-BONES’ HUNTER WINS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Photo Credit: John Ellis/Kansas City T-Bones DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Kansas City T-Bones OF Cedric Hunter (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending August 27. The award is Hunter’s second of the season, as he also was named the American Association Player of the Week for the week ending July 30. This week, he hit .478 (11-for-23), picking up two doubles, two home runs, and six RBI. Hunter recorded a hit in each of his six games this week, and is riding an eight-game hit streak. The Decatur, Ga. native began his week on Monday at home against the Cleburne Railroaders. In a 6-3 loss, he was 1-for-3 with a double. The T-Bones bounced back on Tuesday, earning a 9-4 victory thanks to a monster performance from Hunter. He was 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored in the win. Hunter was 1-for-2 with two walks and a run scored in a 4-2 win on Wednesday, clinching a series win for the T-Bones.
