Baseball-related non-fungible tokens (NFT) for Aaron Takacs
Aaron Takacs started his professional baseball career in 2020 with the Salina Stockade. Aaron played for Apollos manager, David Peterson, on that team; and Aaron played in the first professional baseball game in North America during the pandemic era. That game was July 2, 2020 when the Stockade defeated the Tucson Saguaros at the neutral-site game in Houston, TX (due to the pandemic restrictions). Box score can be found here.
The Pecos League-operated team played in the American Association during the 2021 season, and the Apollos team played all of its games on the road.
Here is the front and back of Aaron Takacs’ 2021 NFT baseball card. It is part of the first “minor league baseball” (affiliated or independent professional) team card set to be sold digitally as NFTs on the OpenSea.io platform. Other minor league cards have been made into NFT’s, but at the time of the Apollos NFT drop (card set launch) no traditional “team set” yet has been made into a NFT collection.
